Twilight Saga: New Moon Movie Trailer

At last, five months before the showing of the latest movie release Twilight Saga:  New Moon, the most-awaited trailer was released!  Be the first to see the action and most of all, the love team - Belle and Edward - who made us fall in love again in Twilight.  Are they be able to do that in this second movie, Twilight New Moon?

As they promised at the MTV Movie Awards where the film won five awards including best movie, best kiss and best fight - the official trailer was shown starting with Belle and Edward kissing scene (surely much to the love team's fans delight!), then Jasper's near attack on Belle at Cullen's House Party.  The next scene will break everybody's heart - Edward saying goodbye to Belle and will be attacked by another vampire only to be saved by Jacob Black, who eventually turned into a wolf!  What a twist of events, right?

So without further ado, better watch the trailer and see for yourselves!  But before I go, I would like to thank TVNZ for such a clear trailer.

MSN UK New Online Interview with Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince Trio, David Yates

The newest movie to be released this July is creating waves this early!

A new online interview with Harry Potter actors Dan Radcliffe (Harry), Rupert Grint (Ron), and Emma Watson (Hermione), together with Half-Blood Prince Director David Yates was released by MSN UK.  This new interview correlates with the Harry Potter Tour which will start in Dublin on June 10, 2009.  This Q&A interview features a number of questions on a variety of subjects posed to the Trio and Mr. Yates.

The Q&A started with actor Dan Radcliffe, who talks about his first serious role on stage, Equus, and how he enjoyed a bit of a change.  As much as he loves Harry , he's excited to work on  other projects too.  He also discusses how Emma Watson always beat Rupert and him at table tennis, his love for indie rock music,  and his feelings upon filming the final films which quoted as follows:
"It will be very, very odd to suddenly not be coming back to Harry Potter. It does act as a safety net, in a way, when you're going off to make something else. Knowing that you don't have that will be sad. I'll be sad to leave the character behind and not see the friends I've made on a daily basis."
Finally, when asked if Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince will show another side of Harry, he comments as saying,
"There's friction in this film it's much more to do with Ron and Hermione than it is to do with Harry. Harry is unhappy for a lot of this film, mainly because people keep trying to kill him. And his love life is awful, too. That's what Jo [JK Rowling] does so well: combining everyday, mundane problems with this incredible other world."
Now with Emma Watson Q&A, she talks about how pleased she was to be back because it only shows how things picked up for all of therm.  She relates her similar feelings with Dan about doing something else other than being Hermione and how Harry Potter movies fame changes her life.  When asked how she feel when she won the Best Actress Award at the ITV Movie Awards, this is what she says:
"It was so lovely. I genuinely didn't expect to win it. It wasn't just about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was about all the films and I was delighted that the public had voted for that award. It's one of my proudest moments."
Back to Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince movie, Emma explains her feelings about her budding romance onscreen with Ron who was played by an old friend.  she says,
"I don't know that it's tough. Rupert's a really laid back guy but I'm really looking forward to it because I quite like the romantic comedy side of it. Rupert and I end up providing light relief, as the films get darker. It's funny seeing Rupert struggling in the romantic stakes. Hermione and Rupert are so different yet they have this chemistry, so it's interesting. It'll be awkward doing those love scenes; there's no other way to put it, but its all part of the job."
On the lighter part of the interview, Emma expresses her enjoyment to beat Dan & Rupert at playing table tennis saying she was quite a tomboy as a kid & loves playing a lot of sports.  She also talks about the diary she keeps of "funny little things I said or thought" and small stuffs memorabilia from Harry Potter movies.  And lastly, when she was asked about having an autobiography one day, this is what she said:
"No, I couldn't see myself doing that. It's too strange and weird looking back on that little girl. I'm very self-critical so I find it hard to watch the early films again. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was a film I was proud of, but I had to watch it three or four times before I could calm myself down and stay focused on my performance."
So next to our line of Q&A is Rupert Grint who's also widely known as Ron Weasley in Harry Potter movies.  Reading this interview with Rupert, you will clearly see how cool the kid is.  Quoted below are the bits and pieces of how the Q&A go...

About playing Quidditch,
"Yeah, I've never done Quidditch in the films before so this is my first Quidditch experience. Dan says it's really painful and I know where he's coming from because it's quite uncomfortable, with the harness and stuff, and you're getting slung about. There are two stages. One is the try-outs where Ron is not very good and keeps getting hit in the face. Another stage is where Ron takes the potion and thinks he is really, really good. It's quite tricky but I've really enjoyed it. I'm always on a wire because the broom is quite high up, about 18 feet."
About coming back for Harry Potter filming and how he feels about the earlier Harry Potter movies,
"Each film is a little bit different, but it is a lot like coming back to school. It's the same people you've worked with and we're never away that long anyway. It's easy to get back into the routine."
"Sure. It's quite sad because it's been a massive part of my life. It's hard to get my head around something that will have taken up 10 years of my life when it's finished."
"I haven't watched the films all the way through for ages but I've seen bits and pieces on Sky. It feels like a different person, to be honest; it feels like it all happened ages ago. It brings back a lot of good memories because it was all a good life and it brings back all those exciting times to me. I had barely done a school play before I started so it was very scary in those early films.  I never thought of it as a serious thing. It was all just fun for me back then."
About his kissing scenes in Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince movie,
"Yeah, and Ron gets a girlfriend in this one. When we did the kissing sequence, it wasn't easy because I'm standing on a plinth and the whole room is watching. It was quite embarrassing and I was actually dreading it. It was weird and the girl who plays my girlfriend is really cool. It was fine after the first 10 takes. [Laughs.]"
And so our cool guy ended his interview by saying how he loves playing golf with the twins and an assurance to his fans that as long as he is wanted, he will keep on coming back for Harry Potter movies because he really enjoys doing it and for him its really cool.

So down with the last Q&A for director David Yates to answer questions about his returning as director for the final films, the performances from the actors in the film, his decision to return for Deathly Hallows, and a 'through-line,' which Yates says "...goes right the way through to the end... We're just putting in all sorts of little details between the characters, which hopefully will resonate through the films."
When asked if he feels more relaxed or more terrified with this new Harry Potter movie, knowing of what to expect, this is what he says:
"It’s kind of a bit of both. I felt really self-conscious making the last film. I didn’t realise how big it was until I got to the premiere and then got to America and saw how massive the release was and how huge the reaction was. That was when the penny dropped that this was such a big thing for so many people. Oddly, when I started this one, I was a little bit more wary of everything. The first time round you just do it; you just go for it. But I’ve settled in and this one’s quite different to the last one. It’s a little bit more grown up and a bit wittier. It’s a different vibe, I think."
Mr. Yates also goes on to describe the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film as:
"It’s love, potions and rock ‘n’ roll. There are all these wonderful things in our story. There’s a potion that gives you perfect luck. You take it and everything goes right for you. But it does heighten your senses somewhat and you get quite breezy with it. Then there’s a love potion that makes you very tactile with everybody. Rupert gets overly tactile with Jim Broadbent at one point. So, it’s got all those metaphorical values. There are some really lovely comic beats here, which we didn’t really get a chance to do last time. It was just a very different beast. "
So there you go...   I for one is very excited to see this new movie from Harry Potter  books series.  And for a teaser/trailer of Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince, click here.

Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince "Lightens Up"

LIGHTEN UP: Despite the battles with Voldemort, Daniel Radcliffe (above right with Michael Gambon as Dumbledore) calls the sixth film “absolutely charming and very funny
The hotly anticipated ‘Half-Blood Prince’ promises more humorous moments than in previous ‘Harry Potter’ installments, but a major character will die.

By Geoff Boucher

Reporting from Watford, England -- Daniel Radcliffe has spent half his life in the role of boy wizard Harry Potter, so it's difficult to imagine any surprises presenting themselves on the set of the sixth film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," which arrives in theaters July 15.

"You would think that, but truly every film is different, and this time around the refreshing aspect was the adolescent romantic core of this film, which should be absolutely charming and very funny," Radcliffe said during a break from shooting. "So from that point of view, it is quite a different film, because we haven't had anything that has had this sort of light and warm and funny a core before."

For those Harry Potter book fans like myself, I admit that the love twist added to the suspense & thrilling part of the book. It's not only action-packed but have a share of refreshing teenage romance as well.

Twilight's New Moon Rising Star!

If vampires come in package like Rob Pattinson... Watch out for the New Moon's pack of werewolves. I wonder, will it be a battle of the hotties then?

By Jesse Spero LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- "Twilight" launched Robert Pattinson , Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner into the celebrity stratosphere - and now "New Moon" star Alex Meraz, a member of the movie's wolf pack - is about to take his place alongside his famous co-stars. Meet AccessHollywood.com's newest Rising Star!

The 24-year-old Mesa, Arizona native might be just as excited for his upcoming role as Paul in the "Twilight" sequel as the legions of Twi-hards out there.

"It's going to be exciting," he recently told Access Hollywood about Chris Weitz-directed "New Moon."

"I'm the bad boys of the wolves," he of his character with a devilish grin. "Something to watch for!"

But judging from the special effects Alex described, it might be impossible not to take notice of him.

"I turn into a wolf the size of a horse! Fans will be blown away by what Chris Weitz is doing," he told Access.

But being a werewolf takes more acting skills than fans might think - not to mention enduring of the Canadian elements where the movie based on the Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series is currently filming.

"It's really cold in Vancouver and, you know, I have no shirt on," Alex explained. "[And] sometimes, not [even] shoes! I think the real acting is coming in and trying to act like I'm warm."

According to Alex, the reason he's shirtless is going to delight fans that have been waiting to see a "Twilight" werewolf on the big screen.

"I filmed the transformation scene, which I'm gonna say right now... it's something else," he explained to us. "It's going to be something to look forward to, for sure!"

Despite being new to the "Twilight" gang, Alex said his seasoned co-stars have been nothing but wonderful to him.

"Kristen and Robert are fantastic," he said. "I kind of thought there was going to be some kind of hazing going on, because we're the freshman, and they're the seniors. Buy they're really supportive."

Alex and the rest of the wolf pack will attack the box office on November 20, 2009, when "New Moon" debuts in theaters.

Very First TV Spot for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

by Alex Billington
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Even though we've seen an excessive number of trailers, including an awesome final theatrical trailer, for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, it's still exciting to see this first TV spot. Not only does it mean that it's finally coming soon, but it also just looks great, and it's one of the movies I'm most excited to see this summer. Though I'm curious, is anyone worried about the comedy in this? Obviously that kind of comedy is a part of the Harry Potter series, but I'm worried that there'll be too much of that and not enough of the dark story and wizard action. We'll find out soon enough. But for now, I'm still incredibly excited.

Looking back at Harry Potter's previously shown movies, they did a wonderful job of blending the suspense, action, humor & teenage love angles in one movie. Let's watch this trailer and find out for yourself!

Watch the final trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince:

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is again directed by British filmmaker David Yates, of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix previously, and is written by Steve Kloves, who also wrote the adaptations of Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire, but did not write Order of the Phoenix. This is the sixth book in J.K. Rowling's immensely popular series. Warner Brothers will debut Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in theaters worldwide on July 15th this summer.

Twilight New Moon "Jane" is the "Unsettling" Dakota Fanning

New Moon's Michael Sheen: Dakota Fanning Looks "Unsettling"

Michael Sheen has been tweeting all sorts of scoop since arriving in Vancouver to film the Twilight sequel New Moon.

The Frost/Nixon actor, who plays Volturi clan head Aro in New Moon, is keeping the Twi-hards atwitter via Twitter, dispensing brief on-the-scene dispatches.

One of the more eyebrow-raising revelations is that he finds his castmate Dakota Fanning, who's handling the role of Jane in the upcoming film, "unsettling."

"Met [Twilight author] Stephenie [Meyer] yesterday on the set," Sheen tweeted on Friday. "She was very charming and enthusiastic and very positive. Keep forgetting how freaky I look with my red eyes."

Two minutes later, Sheen added, "I think Dakota may look the most unsettling though. So angelic yet so weird. As Jane that is of course. Like an evil red riding hood."

A definitely new way of describing Dakota...  but of course - only as Jane, the new Moon's "evil red riding hood".

With Michael & Dakota, Twilight new saga - New Moon is surely on my movie list to watch.

Good News to HP Fans: Harry Potter Exhibition In Chicago

By ICMrgus
News - Popstar.com

The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, opened the world premiere of Harry Potter: The Exhibition on April 30, 2009.  In a 10,000-square-foot exhibit space, the exhibition offers fans a first-hand look inside the boy wizard's magical world and the opportunty to experience the amazing craftmanship of more than 200 authentic costumes and props from the Harry Potter films, displayed in intricate settings inspired by the actual film sets. The exhibition runs through September 7, 2009, and after that date begins its five-year world tour.

The exhibit is staged in nine different settings: Sorting Hat, Pre-Show, Gryffindor Common Room, Classrooms, Quidditch, Hagrid’s Hut, Forbidden Forest, Dark Forces, and Great Hall.  Before the artifacts traveled to Chicago for the world premiere of the exhibition, they were all housed at Leavesden Studios outside of London, where all of the films have been made.  It took four hundreds organizers working eight-hour days (3,200 hours) to set up the exhibition.  All of the original costumes are displayed out in the open, allowing guests to get the very best look at the exquisite detail of each piece.  Some of the more delicate and sensitive artifacts are displayed in cases. There are 40 characters and 19 creatures represented in the exhibition. Overhead of the exhibition hangs 5,720 pounds of rigging, lighting, speakers, cables, and special effects.

According to reports, before entering the exhibition, the visitors are greeted by a good-natured, well-spoken “wizard” at the entrance to the exhibit, who asks for volunteers to be ’sorted’ into one of the four houses of Hogwarts. The visitors are then greeted by eight long screens that flicker beautifully choreographed movie montages from the films. The first actual display are the Gryffindor uniforms for Hermione (Emma Watson), Ginny (Bonnie Wright), and Neville (Matthew Lewis). Somewhere in the vicinity of each’s respective uniform, was a glass case holding their personal possessions. Across the way are Harry's (Daniel Radcliffe) and Ron’s (Rupert Grint) uniforms, their beds, casual clothing, and personal things.

There are small movie screens dispersed throughout the exhibit, playing scenes from the movies pertaining to the particular display you are looking at.

Moving further into the exhibit, one comes upon the Hogwarts professors' displays, and also a huge case of Quidditch-related things, such as Harry’s Nimbus 2000 broom, Malfoy’s Nimbus 2001 broom, and the unusual glass telescope Ron was looking through at the World Cup of Quidditch game in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  Next to this is a mini-game of Quidditch, and a visitor can throw an actual Quaffle into one of the three rings

As one get deeper into the exhibit, the displays start to contain decidedly darker subject matter. Next to the interactive Hagrid’s Hut, one encounter the creatures who inhabit the Dark Forest, until the area reserved for the Death Eaters is reached. Among the artifacts are Tom Riddle's diary, and the wanted posters for escaped Azkaban prisoners, including Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) and Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter).

A lot of love, hard work, care, and passion went into putting this exhibition together. The fans of the franchise will remember how anyone who’s ever worked on a Harry Potter movie set says, “it’s magic.” And the magic is perfectly captured in the exhibit. It is something the visitor can feel, see, and touch.

This is a very good & timely idea!  A better way of giving tribute to Harry Potter fans worldwide.  Let's just hope that they will announce the world tour schedule early so that the fans can make special arrangements for this once in a lifetime big event.

MTV Newsroom - Final "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" Trailer Debuts

Final "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" Trailer Debuts
By Rachel Josue-MTV News

This certainly is a good week to be a “Harry Potter” fan. Last Friday a new international trailer surfaced online. Earlier this week there was news that the film’s release date has been pushed up two days to July 15. Today we brought you the exclusive news that the “Deathly Hallows” epilogue will be shot with the original “Potter” cast, rather than with older actors.

But this is the biggest treat yet.Without further ado, please enjoy the brand new trailer from "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"!

As we know, David Yates, who directed “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” returns to direct “Half-Blood Prince,” and will also helm the upcoming “Deathly Hallows” films. Yates’ much appreciated humor shines through in this new trailer, which is jam-packed full of information.

How do you even take it all in? Death Eaters are everywhere. Draco Malfoy has a mission from the Dark Lord. Dumbledore asks more of Harry than ever. Harry seeks to uncover dangers that lie within the castle grounds. Love strikes all over Hogwarts …

Well, Hogwarts definitely isn’t the safe haven it was once thought to be.

Looking at this superb trailer, I wonder how are they gonna shoot "Deathly Hallows" with all the cast being old! Can't wait to see these 3 last movies!
